(More customer reviews)At the start of the spring soccer season I pulled my left quad during a defense drill and the next week I strained my right quad - probably from overcompensating for the prior injury. I was heavily pre-wrapping, ace bandaging, & taping both legs before every game. Aside form 20 minutes worth of time, it was probably also $20 worth a material every game. An Ortho trainer suggested these units and BOY AM I GLAD!
They go on in seconds. They fit every bit as snug and supportive as the bandage & tape routine. The cost is very reasonable. The amount of heat they retain at the point of injury is very surprising - it's like having a heat pack directly under the sleeve. Within a few minutes of wearing them, my muscles really starting loosening up. During the game, I can go all out and not feel any twinges or tightness (which I would feel with the tape). The next day my legs feel much better than they used to.
The fit is right on the money with the sizing chart. They have a pretty heavy taper to them to allow for a larger upper thigh which is good for me. The bottom taper is a little snug for my taste, but after the first one or two minutes, I don't notice it any more.
Completely worth the money and works like a champ.
