(More customer reviews)Miserable and Awful are not bad enough to describe this piece of cr@p (this according to me as well as some unfortunate classmates of mine who made the mistake to buy this). It gets one star only because I can't give it zero.
First off, when I pulled this out on my neurology rotation, my attending said "oh, I see you bought a peds hammer. You might want to purchase an adult one as well". Nice to see that there was nothing of this noted in the description.
As far as quality goes...The rubber heads constantly fall out of the sockets so that they promptly become lost. The screw-in sharp end and brush spontaneously unscrew and those will promptly get lost as well. I guess you could always lather everything up with a nice coat of superglue, but that sounds like far more work than it's worth and pretty darn messy. So your left with a nice stiff piece of steel to with which to whack your patients. Sounds perfect if I was training to be in the mafia, but I'm training to be an MD.
Moral of the story: run far, far away
