(More customer reviews)I bought this product for sciatica pain in the upper thighs. The only thing that makes it bearable to sit in an office chair all day is cold, and I had tried ice packs (lumpy!), frozen towels (good for five minutes), and all sorts of other solutions. These pads are great; I keep one in the freezer, one on the chair, and rotate them every four or five hours. My only quibble is that the pad starts to "weep" after being taken out of the freezer; after ten minutes or so, it is covered with droplets of water--not exactly ideal for sitting on. So it really needs to be wrapped in a towel if used as a cold pack. Otherwise, this is the best thing I've found for sciatica. (I've also microwaved it and used it as a heat wrap for a sore neck, and it was great for that, too--much more flexible than a heating pad).
