Hey all. Figured since there's no reviews on this product I should chime in as I used one of these for 3 or 4 months.
PROS:
Overall it's a very effective strap - The advantage over others like the original cho-pat, and the Tandem Knee Pro-Tec (the only others I have used) is it directs more pressure onto the patellar tendon allowing you to gain a lot of stability and pain reduction without cranking it really tight. Additionally the rear surface of the front piece is very grippy and doesn't slide down with most activities the exception being a full or near full bend of the knee. Finally the front "aircast" portion is a thick and sturdy tube of air, and again, it directs a lot of pressure on the tendon without having to be over tightened, and the other two straps I've used had a circular frontal piece that was much softer.
CONS:
After about 3 or 4 months mine gave out after close to daily use. The strap tore where the front portion connects to the rear, and although I added some duct tape it was no longer as effective and I ended up buying the cheaper Tandem knee pro-tec.
Apart from the durability it's a great product so if you're just going to be using it for daily activities it's great. If you'll have it on for running or sports a double strap band might ultimately be the best choice.. It's what I'm trying next.
