(More customer reviews)I would have given this brace 5 stars because it is so well made, but it was not true-to-size. My knee circumference measures 13.5 inches and the small Ace Neoprene Brace with Side Stabilizers is supposed to accommodate a 12-14 1/4-inch knee circumference. Yet it was so tight that I had to have help removing it and actually pulled a muscle in my neck during the struggle. I kept it because I have a young relative who plays sports and it might come in handy for her at some point - there's no way the small size would fit an adult, despite what the label says.
Nevertheless, this is an extremely well constructed brace. It is firm and offers real stability along the sides of the knee, and is stitched all around to give added support. The material is thick but not rigid, and stays in place (!). I liked its design and features so well that I reordered the brace in a middle size. So just be aware that the brace runs small and - unless mine was a fluke or one-time manufacturing error - you might need the next size up.
(Edited to add: I just received the middle size brace, and it fits perfectly.)
