(More customer reviews)At about the time I bought this, I also bought the Ace neoprene, one-size-fits-all knee brace, and the Futuro sport adjustable knee brace. Of those three, this is my least favorite.
This is the most cumbersome of the three to take on and off. It is basically a tube that you pull on like a sock. It also has straps attached to the outside of the tube; you use the straps to tighten the overall package after you pull the tube up around your knee. The tube design means that you have to have your shoes off when you put it on, and when you take it off. When you are done with a long hike and you want to take it off for the ride home, you must first take off your boots. If you forget to put it on before you put on your shoes, you have to take it back off, put on the shoes, and put it back on.
I also do not think it provides very good stability control. If you are like me and feel as if your knee "goes out" sometimes, the Futuro sport adjustable is a better bet.
I was attracted to this product by the supposed "moisture control" capability. However, I find myself feeling just as sweaty when I use this brace as when I use the others. Plus, as mentioned above, when you are done hiking or running or whatever, the other braces are quicker and easier to take off, which is a big relief when it is hot out.
The one thing I like about this brace is that the padding around the knee cap opening seems thicker and better than the padding on the other two knee braces.
