(More customer reviews)When I sit or stand too long, especially in hot weather, my ankles and lower legs swell uncomfortably. If I'm not wearing tie up shoes, my feet can swell too. These hose really help. Since I often wear slacks, the knee highs are the best for me. This 'mild' compression offers good support while still being easy to put on. I've used other kinds of support hose in the past and get very frustrated trying to get them on, plus in a knee high, I don't want the band at the top to cut into my leg because they are too tall. I find the medium size in this brand comes perfectly to my knee and the band stays smooth (I wear a size 8.5 shoe and am 5'4" tall). These are exactly the right size and have perfect compression for me. They feel very snug, but in a good way. My legs feel cool even in very hot weather and swelling is well controlled.
Appearance-wise, although I can tell these are compression hose, they are far less obvious than other brands I've tried and do not call attention to themselves. The top band is comfortable and smooth and doesn't slip down. The toe is reinforced, but still transparent and the same color as the hose. It is not tight so my toes are not constricted. Also the hose stand up well to repeated wearing and laundering. I highly recommend these knee highs to reduce swelling while looking as good as compression hose can.
