Ibuprofin was having no effect on it, even Demerol could only bring the pain down to a 4 on the 10 point scale doctors use. The things I read about it on the discussion boards at the cancer foundation websites were depressing. So many women suffering the same pain without relief for many years. Their doctors either didn't believe the pain was real or didn't know what to do about it as it doesn't respond well to most medications. What they now call Post Breast Therapy Pain Syndrome is the final indignity after feeling so mutilated fromt the surgery and the fears that having cancer often induces.
Then I read one comment from one of the women. She said she'd heard about a book called The Miracle of MSM - a suppliment that is supposed to be good for more than just the pain of arthritis. She said she'd let everyone know if it worked for her, though I couldn't find any follow-up report from her.
I decided to order the book (by Dr. Jacob, Dr. Lawrence, and Martin Zucker) to learn more about it. While it didn't discuss this kind of pain, it seemed to be good for so many things I decided to give it a try. I ordered this product along with a lotion containing pure MSM to apply to the most painful areas.
I am delighted to report that it began working almost immediately. The pain that has kept me unable to function has eased enough that I am beginning to get back to my life after just a few days. I still have some pain, but it is milder - as low as a 2 which hasn't happened in a long time. I am also doing much more than I had before, so it is also increasing my energy level.
This wonderful product is helping control my allergies as well. I'd always broken out in a rash from the adhesives from bandages. Not anymore. The rash I had at the time I took the first dose healed within 24 hours - previously unheard of. I can't wait to see what else it will help as I continue to take it.
I cannot recommend this product highly enough. I would warn, though, that it is NOT best taken by placing directly on the tongue as the container says. It is much better to dissolve it in a few ounces of warm water. The best advice would be to read the book referenced earlier in this review and follow their recommendations.
Whether you are suffering chronic pain, allergies, or have skin or hair problems, this is the product for you. It will even whiten your teeth and prevent/treat gingivitis! It won't work for everyone, but it works for so many that it is definitely worth trying. Just be patient as it isn't always a quick fix. It's certainly making my life livable again.
