Haley is a little girl starting kindergarten. Her lovie, a stuffed lamb, named Lamb E. Boy, is very anxious about her going to what he thinks is a kids knee garden. He is scared of the bus, scared of the teacher, and scared of the garden. After Haley tells him about her first day of school and explains that there is nothing to fear, Lamb E. Boy stows away in her backpack so that he can go see the knee garden for himself.
