(More customer reviews)These are called 2-stay because they have 2 flexible plastic stays on each side of the knee. I ordered 2 of the black ones (size small), and liked the fit. When I tired to run in them though, they irritated my hamstring and the back of my knees... I used Body Glide on the back of my knees, and it helped reduce the skin irritation, but it still made my hamstrings feel really tight. If you are looking for a running brace, I'd say do not buy these. But for walking or other low impact activity, these offer great compression and stability. They are also made in the USA, which was nice to know.
As for the reason I wanted these... I have patellofemoral pain... I have found that icing then knees and doing hip, glute, and quad strengthening exercises, as well as rolling my IT bands on a foam roller is helping me much for then these were able to.
